Excelsior Coaches have been awarded runners up Trophy in the Transport Initiative Category of the coveted Bournemouth Tourism Awards 2009

The leading awards ceremony in the region, the Bournemouth Tourism awards presented by Neal Butterworth, Daily Echo Editor-in-Chief, was held at a glittering ceremony at the Carrington House Hotel on Thursday 26th November 2009.

The awards recognise and acknowledge individuals and businesses for their hard work and commitment to Bournemouth and its superb tourism industry.

Excelsior Coaches received a 'Highly Commended' runners up trophy in Bournemouth Tourisms equivalent of the Oscars for a number of innovative marketing projects, environmental issues, service delivery offerings and commitment to customer service.

Managing Director Kathy Tilbury said "just to be nominated for one of these prestigious awards is an achievement in its self by any organisation regardless of category, as a business we are delighted that we are being recognised for our efforts, to get a 'Highly Commended' Trophy is no mean feet".
