Excelsior Coaches have been awarded, Highly Commended runners up Trophy under three categories at the 2010 UK Coach Awards!

The UK Coach Awards presented by BBC Presenter Carol Kirkwood were held at a glittering ceremony at Manchester’s prestigious Midland Hotel on Wednesday 28th April 2010. Over 70 companies and organisations were short-listed across the whole spectrum of the UK coach tourism industry and were recognised and rewarded for their excellence for their achievements in the provision of coach services and coach tourism.

Excelsior Coaches were awarded 'Highly Commended' runners up trophy in all three categories that they were shortlisted for. Coach Operator of the Year (medium Fleet), the 2010 Coach Marketing Award, which they scooped in 2009 and the 2010 Coach Travel Programme. There were over 800 entries, of which Excelsior were the only Coach Operator to be shortlisted under three categories.

Excelsior were nominated for the Coach Operator of the year (medium fleet) by one of its contract customers anonymously, the criteria for nomination concentrated on all aspects of the contract and operational delivery of service to its customers. The purpose of this award is to identify excellence and best practice in coach operations and coach tourism and recognition from the operator’s customers rather than being nominated by the industry itself.

The Coach Tour Programme entry, Excelsior focused on the launch of its 'new look' Tours Brochure for 2010, which still maintained the quality and branding that their customers had come to expect but was more, glossy and slick. By offering Air Tours they have opened up the market making their tours more appealing to not just the ‘traditional’ coach tour clients, but clients that would like a door to door service to travel worldwide.

In the Coach Marketing Category Excelsior demonstrated the creative use of a range of marketing tools to grow their business and increase consumer awareness. Their detailed entry focused on a number of innovative marketing projects and their customer service delivery which differentiates itself from other operators in the industry.
