Coaching Allocator Vacancy

Coaching Allocator Vacancy

We're recruiting for a Coaching Allocator!

We're on the look out for a skilled allocator who can coordinate our private hire and rail replacement work for Damory and Excelsior.

Damory and Excelsior each have their own pool of drivers and having one person allocating their work makes the coaching unit much more efficient. The successful applicant will allocate drivers to private hire and rail replacement work, taking into account the very specific requirements of coaching, such as: drivers who have allocated coaches, clients who request certain drivers, allocating more experienced drivers to longer distance work etc.

We're looking for a smart, confident, positive-thinking candidate to join our operations team as a Coaching Allocator. The right person will need to be confident in dealing with people, proactive and able to use initiative, to be professional in liaising with colleagues and customers, and to be an excellent communicator.

Other duties will include ensuring full compliance with EU hours regulations, ensuring that quality and safety are always at the forefront of our coaching operation, ensuring that all work is covered with a suitable driver, liaising carefully with other departments to ensure maximum efficiency, dealing with holiday requests/records, providing regular reports to the coaching management team, and when necessary, lising with colleagues in the National Express divison to ensure coverage is achieved.

We like people who tell us when we can do better, flag up problems that need solving and question decision by asking for clarification. We need someone who can be flexible as last minute changes in a fast-paced bus and coach operation can sometimes be inevitable.

Damory and Excelsior are part of the award-winning Go South Coast family which is owned by the FTSE-250 Go-Ahead Group plc. As well as a full salary with 5 weeks annual holiday (plus 8 bank holiday days), we offer employee discounts, free travel across our network for you and a nominee, uniform, progression opportunities, and a career where every day is different; both challenging and rewarding.

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (08:30 until 17:30)

Salary: Competitive dependent on experience
