One of our coach drivers Mark Benham, is celebrating this week, after being named Employee of the Year among colleagues at Excelsior and sister company, Damory.
Mark made a career change in 2023, joining Excelsior’s driving academy. Within months, he was transporting happy customers across the UK, and on multi-day tours.
“Taking to his new role seamlessly, Mark is completely comfortable with visiting new areas across the country” said Excelsior managing director, Ed Wills.
“On one trip last year, more than half of those on-board his coach made the effort to contact us to praise Mark for his exemplary driving and customer care skills. To date, he has received more then 70 driver commendations for driving standards, customer service, and for just being himself. And, in 2025, he received the highest amount of positive customer feedback across our business.
“Congratulations Mark, this award is richly deserved, and I wish you every success in the year ahead.”
Mark Benham added: “Thank you for my award. It’s always nice to receive positive feedback from passengers and that you have made their journey a memorable experience.
“This is the first job I have had where I look forward to my days out and about meeting new people and going to places, I have never been before. Thank you once again”
In recognition of his efforts, Mark received £1000 worth of vouchers and a framed certificate. Well done!
